so my new manager is an aquarius and I'm a cancer and the vibe shift was REAL at first lol
like I'm used to bosses who check in, ask how ur weekend was, notice when ur having an off day. this one is all business. straight to the point in every meeting, barely any small talk
i took it personal ngl. thought maybe I did something wrong or they just didn't like me
but a few months in I'm noticing they're actually super fair? like they don't play favorites, they give me a ton of independence, and when I do bring up something that's bothering me they actually listen and problem solve instead of just being nice about it and doing nothing
still getting used to the lack of warmth tbh but does anyone else work under an aquarius and feel like the coldness is more... efficiency than not caring?
omg yes!! I have an aquarius coworker (not boss) and it took me MONTHS to realize the bluntness wasn't personal. once i stopped needing the emotional check-ins from her specifically i actually started to really respect how straightforward she is
wait does your aquarius boss give really direct feedback too? mine does and it kind of stings at first as a cancer lol but ngl its usually right
@Megan9 yes exactly!! stings for like a day then I realize they were right lol. honestly this whole thing has helped me stop needing constant reassurance to feel secure at work, which is probably a good thing for me long term
