my manager is a total virgo and I'm a leo and it's such a weird dynamic
she'll go through my work line by line and point out every tiny inconsistency, meanwhile all I want is for someone to say "hey this is actually really good" lol
I know she's not trying to be harsh, it's just how she operates. but it's been an adjustment learning not to take the nitpicking personally
anyone else navigate a leo + virgo work dynamic? curious how you made it work
leo here who had a virgo boss for two years. once I realized her feedback was never about me as a person and just about the work itself, it got so much easier to hear
virgo here lol. ngl we do this because we care about the work being right, not because we think you're bad at it. if it helps, ask her directly what she liked - virgos usually have an answer, we just don't always lead with it
same combo at my job and honestly the detail stuff has made me a better editor of my own work over time. still annoying in the moment tho lol
update: asked her directly for feedback on what's working and not just what needs fixing, and she actually had a whole list. made me feel a lot better about the dynamic
