my boss is a capricorn and i am very much a gemini and i think we are just built different lol
she wants everything planned out in advance, step by step, no changes once we've agreed on something. i am constantly having new ideas mid-project and wanting to pivot??
she's not mean about it or anything, she's actually a really good boss, but i can tell my energy stresses her out sometimes
any other geminis working under capricorn bosses? how do you make it work without losing your gemini-ness
This is a classic mutable-cardinal dynamic in a work setting. Capricorn thrives on structure and predictability - it's literally how they build trust in a plan. Gemini thrives on adaptability and new information.
The fix isn't to suppress your ideas, it's to change when you bring them. Save new ideas for a scheduled check-in instead of mid-project pivots, and frame them as 'here's an option to consider for next time' rather than 'let's change course now.' Capricorn bosses usually respect initiative - they just need it channeled through structure.
lol I feel this so much, my old capricorn manager used to visibly tense up whenever I said 'ok but what if we tried...' mid-meeting
the scheduled check-in thing is so smart. I started doing a friday "idea dump" doc for my capricorn boss instead of bringing things up live and she actually loves it now
