so my boss is a capricorn and I'm an aries and it's... a whole dynamic
like she's SO structured and wants everything planned three steps ahead and I just want to move fast and figure it out as we go. we've butted heads a few times over timelines
but also she's taught me so much about actually finishing what I start instead of losing steam halfway through lol
anyone else worked under (or managed) this combo? does it get easier or is it just always going to be a push and pull
Looking at the elements here - Capricorn is earth, Aries is fire, so this friction is baked into the archetype. Capricorn wants a stable structure to build within; Aries wants momentum right now.
The tension usually eases once each side sees the other's pace as complementary rather than competing - her structure can actually give your fire something solid to burn through instead of burning out.
my manager is a capricorn too and honestly the push and pull got so much better once i started giving her a heads up before jumping into stuff instead of just doing it. she just wants to not be blindsided, not for me to slow down completely
the 'give her a heads up instead of slowing down' thing is such a good reframe. going to try that instead of assuming she wants me to move at her pace entirely
