ok so I've been doing tarot for about 2 years now and I honestly just default to the 3-card spread for basically everything lol
past / present / future is great but I feel like I'm missing out on other spreads?? like I tried the celtic cross once and got completely lost in all the positions
I also really like doing a simple single card pull for daily check-ins. keeps things chill and not overwhelming.
what spreads do you all actually USE regularly? not like the ones you read about but the ones you actually pull out when you need answers
omg same!! 3-card is my ride or die. I've been doing tarot for years and I still use it constantly lol
I do try a horseshoe spread sometimes for bigger decisions though - 7 cards but way more manageable than celtic cross imo
What a lovely question! The cards whisper most clearly when we find spreads that resonate with our intuition.
My absolute favorite is a 5-card relationship spread: self / other / the connection / what to nurture / what to release. It's simple enough to not get lost in but gives SO much more depth than 3 cards.
For decisions I love a pros/cons spread - 3 cards for yes, 3 for no, 1 in the middle as the heart of the matter. Trust your inner knowing when the cards land - sometimes the answer is already in you before you flip them.
the celtic cross is honestly not as hard as it looks once you do it like 3-4 times! the positions start to feel intuitive
but yeah for everyday stuff 3-card or single pull all the way
I came across a year ahead spread (12 cards, one for each month) and do it every january. it's a lot of cards but you don't have to interpret them all at once - just come back to each one as the month arrives
highly recommend!!
ok the 5-card relationship spread sounds amazing, gonna try that this weekend. and a year ahead spread?? that's such a cool idea I never would have thought of that
