asked about a job offer i'm considering and pulled the hierophant reversed for "what to expect if i take it"
my first thought was uh oh, that seems bad? but then i read a couple different things online and now i'm even more confused lol
some sites say it's about breaking away from tradition in a good way (like this job would let me do things my own way instead of the usual corporate ladder). others make it sound like a warning about going against convention and regretting it
for context the job is at a smaller, less traditional company vs the big corporate place i'm at now. does that context change how you'd read it?
curious how you guys interpret this one when it shows up for career stuff specifically
ooh this is such a good context to think about. i feel like reversed hierophant in career readings is less "bad omen" and more "this path doesn't follow the usual rules, are you ok with that"
i got this exact card when i left my corporate job for a smaller startup and honestly it fit perfectly. it wasn't a warning, it was just naming that i was choosing the unconventional path
ok this actually makes so much sense given the context. the job really would be the less traditional route so maybe it's just reflecting that rather than warning me off. feeling a lot better about it now, thank you both
following this bc i got the same card for a similar situation last month lol. the "naming the unconventional choice" framing is way more helpful than the doom and gloom interpretations i found
