okay so I've been doing more shadow work lately (highly recommend btw, also mildly terrifying) and the hermit reversed just WILL NOT stop showing up
like I pulled it three different sessions in a row now, different questions every time
upright hermit i get - stepping back, seeking your own answers, all that. but reversed in a shadow work context feels different?? like it's not just introspection, it feels more like isolation or avoiding something
anyone else get repeat cards specifically during shadow work? curious if this is a "pay attention to this specific pattern" thing or if its more about the process itself
omg the hermit reversed loves showing up during shadow work for me too. for me it usually means im using the "introspection" as an excuse to avoid actually talking to people about stuff. wondering if that resonates at all
wait does it matter what position it's in when this happens? like outcome vs advice? asking bc I've noticed something similar but never connected it to position before
update: sat with this for a few days and I think duskandbloom's take was spot on for me too. realized I've been using "needing space" as a way to dodge a conversation I've been putting off. going to actually have it this week lol wish me luck
