the devil next to the empress?? help me understand this combo
so i did a relationship reading for myself and got the devil in the present position and the empress right next to it as the energy around the situation
like... attachment/temptation next to abundance and nurturing? how do these two even work together?
i keep going back and forth between thinking its about material comfort keeping me stuck vs something about the relationship being too codependent in a caring way??
has anyone else gotten this combo before? how did you interpret it?

ooh interesting combo! i actually got something similar once
for me it was about how the relationship felt really nurturing on the surface (empress vibes) but there was this underlying dependency that wasnt healthy. like being taken care of so much that i lost myself a bit?
not saying thats your situation but thats what it meant for me
the devil and empress together makes me think of indulgence tbh. like maybe theres something about enjoying the good things a little TOO much? comfort zone stuff
both cards are very sensory/physical so it could be about material pleasures
i read these two together as a warning about getting too comfortable in something that looks good but might be limiting you
the empress is all about growth and fertility right? but the devil can show where that growth is being stunted because youre attached to how things are
ok wow these are all really helpful actually. i think yall are onto something with the comfort zone thing
like the relationship IS nurturing but maybe ive been avoiding some stuff because its easier to just stay comfortable
