asked about whether i should stay at my current job for another year and got the ten of wands reversed as the answer card
i've been so burnt out lately, carrying way more than my role actually is, saying yes to everything, staying late basically every week. so when i saw it reversed my first thought was oh great, universe confirming i need to run
but then i read a bit more and some sources say reversed can also just mean finally putting the burden DOWN, like delegating or setting boundaries, not necessarily leaving entirely
so now im stuck between two totally different readings lol. does reversed ten of wands mean quit, or does it mean stop carrying it all yourself and the job could still work if i actually push back on my workload?
The cards whisper something gentler than "quit" here, sweet one. The Ten of Wands reversed is almost always about releasing an unnecessary burden, not the situation itself.
Upright, the card shows someone struggling under a weight they insisted on carrying alone. Reversed, it's an invitation - can you set it down? Delegate it? Say the hard "no" you've been avoiding?
Before you decide the job itself is the problem, ask whether YOU have been adding weight that isn't actually required of you. Sometimes we carry things out of guilt or fear of disappointing people, not because the role demands it.
If you genuinely try to lighten the load and it's still crushing you, that's useful information too. But start with the boundary, not the exit.
omg this is so timely, i got the same card reversed a few months back about a totally different situation (moving in with roommates lol) and it ended up being about communication, not "leave." like i needed to actually say what i needed instead of quietly resenting everyone
following this because i always read reversed wands cards as automatically bad and i don't think that's right lol. this thread is helpful
update: talked to my manager about redistributing two of my projects and honestly just SAYING it out loud made me feel lighter already lol. gonna give it a few weeks before deciding anything drastic. thank you all, this reframe really helped
