ok so I did a 3-card spread about whether to take on a new freelance project and the outcome card was the seven of pentacles reversed
I've been stressing about this reading for two days now lol
like... is it saying the effort won't pay off? or that I'm going to give up halfway? I really want to say yes to this client but now I feel like the cards are warning me not to
does the outcome position change how you read a reversed card? or does reversed just always mean the worst case
Oh what a rich question! The cards whisper nuance here, not doom.
The Seven of Pentacles reversed in the outcome position isn't necessarily saying "don't do it" - it's pointing to WHERE the challenge will be. With this card reversed, the warning is usually about patience and expectations. You might do the work but want results faster than they come. Or you might spread yourself too thin and not fully invest.
Ask yourself: Am I going into this project with realistic expectations about the timeline and payoff? Do I have the bandwidth to truly commit?
That's your real question. The card is giving you something to watch for, not a verdict. Trust your inner knowing on this one.
I don't think reversed in outcome means automatic bad news!! I used to read it that way and honestly it made every reading feel like a disaster lol
some readers interpret reversed as energy that's blocked or turned inward. so maybe it's less about the project failing and more about like... needing to shift your mindset going in
following this bc I literally asked my cards about a job offer last month and got something similar. felt paralyzed for days
how do you even trust yourself to make decisions after a reading like that
ok this is SO helpful, thank you
Sarah K that question really landed - I think I have been going into this with kind of unrealistic expectations about how fast it'll turn into ongoing work. that actually makes a lot of sense
I'm going to say yes to the client but have a honest conversation about timelines upfront. feels like that's what the reading was pointing to
