every compatibility list i've ever read acts like two water signs together is either soulmate territory or a complete emotional flood. me (scorpio) and my partner (cancer) are almost two years in and honestly it's neither extreme, it just... works
i think the thing nobody mentions is how SAFE it feels. i don't have to explain my moods, i don't have to perform being fine when i'm not, and neither does he. we just let each other feel things without rushing to fix it
we do have to watch the tendency to spiral together when we're both stressed, that's real. but when one of us is steady the other calms down fast
anyone else have a scorpio+cancer pairing that's more chill than the internet makes it sound?
this is so validating to read, i'm a cancer with a scorpio partner and everyone acts shocked when i say we barely fight. the depth thing is real but it doesn't have to mean drama
the spiraling together thing is so accurate lol. my sister is scorpio+cancer with her husband and they've had to learn who "taps out" first when things get heavy so they don't both go under at once
wait do you find the intensity ever gets exhausting to people around you? like do your friends comment on how deep you two are together
marnie_v honestly yes lol, my best friend calls us "a lot" affectionately. but it's never felt exhausting from the inside, more like finally being fully seen by someone
