I feel like queen of wands is one of those cards that gets really muddy when reversed and I can never land on a clean interpretation
upright she's confident, creative, magnetic, independent - got it
but reversed?? some readers say she becomes jealous and attention-seeking. others say it's just the same energy turned inward - like the confidence is blocked or insecure
and then when she shows up in my readings I keep going back and forth between "is this describing me" or "is this describing someone else in the situation"
how do YOU guys read the queen of wands reversed?
In all my years, the Queen of Wands reversed is one I return to often because she's so easy to misread.
The old ways teach us that court cards reversed rarely flip to their opposite - they dim, they go underground. The Queen of Wands reversed isn't jealous by nature - she's her brilliant, magnetic self, but something has dimmed the flame.
Maybe it's a period of creative block. Maybe external voices have made her second-guess her instincts. Maybe she's pouring her fire into everyone around her and running low herself.
As for whether the card is you or another person - I find it helps to ask: whose energy am I more aware of right now? If you're the one feeling dimmed, it's likely you. If someone around you seems to have lost their spark or their confidence has curdled into neediness, the card may be showing them.
the "fire turned inward" reading makes so much more sense to me than "she becomes a villain"
like upright she's leading and inspiring. reversed that same passion is just kind of... smoldering instead of burning. either stuck inside or expressing in messier ways because there's no healthy outlet
this is one of those questions I've been mulling over for months so thank you for asking it
I think the jealousy reading makes sense IF the surrounding cards are pointing outward - like lots of cups suggesting relationship drama. but if the spread is more introspective I lean toward the blocked confidence interpretation
