so I did a 3-card spread yesterday asking about a financial decision I've been sitting on for a while (thinking about leaving my stable job to freelance full time)
past: 9 of pentacles - present: 2 of pentacles - outcome: queen of pentacles REVERSED
the first two cards made total sense but that last one really threw me off. like... the queen of pentacles is usually so grounded and abundant, so reversed in the outcome position feels like a warning?
but I'm also second-guessing myself because I really want this change to happen. am I just seeing what I want to see or is the outcome card telling me to slow down?
anyone else gotten this in a future/outcome position? how did you interpret it?
Oh this spread is speaking volumes, sweet one! The cards whisper a nuanced story here...
The Queen of Pentacles reversed in outcome isn't necessarily a hard 'no' - she's asking you to look at WHERE your relationship with security and self-worth might get in the way. Are you undervaluing yourself? Overextending before you've built a solid foundation?
The 9 of pentacles in your past shows you already HAVE the skills for independence. The 2 of pentacles present means you're actively juggling and finding balance. The reversed queen as outcome might be saying: make sure you're doing this for the right reasons, not fear of staying OR fear of leaving.
Trust your inner knowing here. What does your gut say when you're not anxious?
i got the queen of pentacles reversed in an outcome position once when I was deciding about a big money thing too. I took it as a reminder to get really practical and make sure I had savings lined up before jumping. ended up being the right call for me!
like it wasnt a NO just a "be more prepared than you think you need to be"
the 9 of pentacles in past position is actually so reassuring though?? that card is literally about hard-earned independence. feels like the cards are saying you've done this before (built something solid on your own) even if you don't realize it
thank you all so much, this really helped me think it through differently
Sarah K - that question about doing it for the right reasons hit hard. I journaled about it last night and realized I've been making decisions from a scarcity mindset lately which probably IS what the reversed queen is pointing to
going to take another month to build up my emergency fund before making the leap. feels more aligned now
