okay so I've been debating whether to finally leave this creative project I've poured like two years into. did a reading, drew a few decent cards, then pulled the eight of cups reversed as the clarifier because I wanted more insight
and now im just... more lost?? upright eight of cups is walking away, seeking something deeper right. so reversed does that mean STAY? or does it mean im walking away for the wrong reasons?
feels like the card canceled itself out lol. anyone else pulled a clarifier that just made things murkier
Oh, clarifiers reversing on you like this happen more than you'd think - the cards whisper something layered here.
The eight of cups reversed as a clarifier usually isn't canceling the message, it's adding a condition to it. Upright eight of cups says 'walk away, seek deeper meaning.' Reversed often means you already know you should walk away, but fear or guilt is what's actually stalling you - not genuine uncertainty about the decision itself.
Ask yourself: if fear wasn't part of the equation, would you still be unsure? Trust your inner knowing on that one.
omg the fear vs genuine uncertainty question is a gut punch. saving this for later
I've noticed reversed clarifiers almost always point back to fear or timing rather than flipping the whole meaning. happened to me with a career reading last year
update: sat with the fear question for a few days and yeah... it was fear the whole time lol. gave myself a real deadline instead of just quietly ghosting the project and honestly feel so much lighter already
