ok so I was doing a reading about whether to stay at my current job or look for something new

got the 8 of pentacles in the main position which I thought meant like stick with it and keep building your skills right?

but then I pulled the devil reversed as a clarifier and now my brain is broken lol

like... is it saying im finally breaking free from something? or that I should break free? or that the chains aren't as tight as I think??

clarifier cards are supposed to HELP not make me spiral into overthinking 😭

anyone good at reading the devil reversed? especially as a clarifier

omg the devil reversed as a clarifier is actually really interesting!!

I usually read it as like... you're starting to see through the bs. like whatever was holding you back (maybe fear of leaving? comfort zone stuff?) is losing its grip on you

so paired with 8 of pentacles maybe it's saying you CAN keep building skills but you're not as stuck as you thought? like you have more freedom to choose than you realize

wait this is so relatable. I pulled devil reversed in a similar reading last month

for me it ended up meaning I was staying at my job out of fear not because I actually wanted to. like I had convinced myself I needed the security when really I was just scared

not saying that's you but maybe sit with it?

honestly devil reversed is one of my favorite cards to see because it's usually about reclaiming your power

the 8 of pentacles is hard work and dedication. devil reversed might be clarifying that you should make sure you're dedicating yourself to something because you WANT to not because you feel trapped

big difference between choosing to stay vs staying because you're scared to leave imo
