so I did a 3 card spread last night (past/present/future) about a big decision at work and the future position was ten of swords reversed.
i know upright is like rock bottom, the worst has already happened, total collapse. but reversed in the FUTURE position specifically has me spiraling a little
is it saying the ending gets delayed? like things fall apart eventually but slower? or does reversed here actually mean recovery, like the worst is already behind me and this is healing instead
ive read like 5 different interpretations now and im more confused than when i started lol. anyone pulled this in a future position before?
Oh sweet one, the cards whisper something gentler here than you might think.
Reversed cards in the future position often shift the energy of the card rather than delaying it. The Ten of Swords upright is rock bottom - the reversal in a future slot tends to point toward the recovery phase, not a slower collapse.
Think of it as: whatever hit its lowest point already did its work. What's ahead is the getting-back-up part, even if it doesn't feel like it yet.
Trust that your inner knowing is already sensing this shift.
same thing happened to me with a job reading a while back! reversed ten of swords in the future ended up meaning the hard part was basically already over, i just hadnt noticed yet
following this bc i always struggle with reversed cards in positional spreads specifically. the recovery read makes so much more sense than assuming worse is coming
