so i did a little 3 card spread about an upcoming work presentation (past/present/future) and got the nine of swords reversed as the future card
i know upright nine of swords is like 3am anxiety spirals, worst case scenario thinking, that whole vibe. so reversed in the future position... is that saying the anxiety is coming? or that it's finally lifting?
every site i check gives me a different answer lol. some say reversed = the worry was never based in reality to begin with. others say it means relief is finally on the way. those feel pretty different to plan around
has anyone gotten this specific combo before (9 of swords reversed + future position)? trying to figure out if i should brace myself or chill out lol
This is such a good one to sit with. The cards whisper something gentle here: the Nine of Swords reversed in the future position is almost always relief, not warning.
Upright, that card is the spiral itself - 3am, worst case thinking, the mind running loops it can't get out of. Reversed says that spiral is starting to unwind. Often it shows up when the anxiety was already bigger than the actual situation warranted.
For your presentation specifically: this reads to me as "the dread you're feeling right now is louder than what's actually going to happen." Trust your inner knowing and try to separate the feeling from the facts this week.
i've gotten this exact combo before a job interview and honestly the relief reading was spot on for me. the days leading up were rough but the actual thing went fine
following this bc i always get confused on 9 of swords reversed too. good to know it leans relief and not "worse anxiety incoming" lol
