asked what I should do about a decision I've been putting off and got the nine of swords reversed as my advice card??
like... is it telling me to stop spiraling? to actually deal with the worry instead of avoiding it? or is it saying the anxiety itself isn't even real and I'm just making it up??
every interpretation I read says something slightly different and now I'm just doing the exact thing the card is probably about lol. anyone pulled this as advice before and figured out what it actually meant for them?
Oh I love when the cards get meta like this! The Nine of Swords reversed as advice is often less about the worry being fake and more about releasing the nighttime spiral so you can see the situation clearly in daylight.
It's telling you: name the fear out loud, to a friend, in a journal, anywhere outside your own head. The reversal softens the isolation of the upright card - it's asking you to stop carrying this alone.
Trust that once you speak it, it will feel smaller than it does at 3am.
omg the 3am spiral thing is so accurate. I got this exact card as advice before a hard conversation I'd been avoiding and it really did help to just say the scary thing out loud to someone instead of replaying it in my head all week
update: talked to my partner about the thing I was avoiding and honestly it went so much better than the version in my head. still can't believe how much energy I wasted worrying instead of just saying it
