so I asked my deck what I should do about this situationship I've been in for like 8 months and pulled the lovers reversed as the advice card
I know the lovers upright is about choices, alignment, commitment. reversed I've read it as misalignment, avoiding a decision, values out of sync
but as ADVICE?? is the card telling me to walk away? or that I need to make a real choice? or that the connection itself is misaligned?
I'm genuinely confused because advice cards feel different to me than positional cards. like what do I actually DO with this
Oh this question hits close to home - the Lovers reversed in advice is one of my favorite cards to unpack because it's so nuanced.
The cards whisper this: advice cards don't usually tell you what to choose. They tell you what energy to bring, what to examine first.
Lovers reversed as advice is pointing at misalignment - but the important question is: what are you misaligned with? Is it him? Your own values? Or are you just avoiding the moment of clarity because knowing means deciding?
My interpretation: the card is inviting you to get honest with yourself about what you actually want. Not what seems practical, not what you hope he'll eventually be. What do YOU want? That's the internal alignment work first.
Trust your inner knowing here - you probably already have more clarity than you're giving yourself credit for.
ugh I got this in a similar position once and honestly it shook me. turned out I already knew what I wanted and was just hoping the cards would confirm the easier choice
advice cards hit different for me too, like they feel more urgent than positional cards
what spread were you using? I find 3-card spreads make the advice card do a lot of heavy lifting but if you have more positional cards it might give you more context
ok this is actually really helpful. I think I've been wanting the card to just... tell me what to do instead of doing the internal work first lol

update: sat with it for a few nights like sarah k suggested and honestly... i think i already knew i wanted more consistency than a situationship can give. had the talk, were taking a break to figure out if we actually want the same thing. feels weirdly like a relief actually
the alignment question really is the whole thing with this card reversed as advice. i got the same card in a similar spot and it forced me to admit i wanted commitment, not just seeing where it goes
