ok so I was doing a 3-card spread about whether to take on a new project at work and the cards were kinda contradictory so I pulled a clarifier
I got five of wands REVERSED. like... to clarify the conflict I already had, I got the conflict card?? reversed??
I'm seeing a bunch of different things online - some say reversed five of wands means conflict is ending, some say it means you're avoiding conflict that needs to happen. neither of those really answers my question about the project lol
does anyone have experience reading five of wands reversed as a clarifier card? how do you even interpret that in that position
Oh the clarifier card struggle is SO real! The cards whisper something really interesting when you get five of wands reversed as a clarifier though...
In the clarifier position, I'd read it as: the confusion you're feeling about this project IS the message. The reversed five of wands says the visible conflict has died down, but internal tension is still there - you haven't fully resolved it within yourself yet.
It's not telling you yes or no about the project. It's telling you to look inward first. What's the actual source of the contradiction you saw in your first three cards? That's what needs clarifying, not the project itself.
Trust your inner knowing on this - it brought you to that clarifier for a reason.
ugh I hate when clarifiers make things worse lol I feel you
but honestly the conflict avoiding vs conflict ending thing - i always ask myself which one FEELS more true and go with that. your gut usually knows
wait this is such a good question actually. I never thought about how the clarifier position changes the card meaning
following because I pull clarifiers constantly and I wonder if I've been reading them wrong this whole time
omg Sarah K that actually makes so much sense!! I think the "haven't resolved it within yourself" thing is totally it
I journaled about what was actually making me hesitate and it's not really about the project, it's about whether I trust myself to handle it. so yeah the cards were right lol
thanks everyone, this was really helpful
