ok so I was doing a reading about a new job opportunity and got the 8 of wands which felt really positive like things moving fast
but something felt off so I pulled a clarifier... ace of pentacles reversed
like... is this saying the opportunity isnt as solid as it seems? or that im not ready to receive it? or maybe im just overthinking
the main card felt so good but now the clarifier has me second guessing everything lol. anyone else had a clarifier card just completely throw off your reading?
clarifiers do that to me ALL the time lol
for ace of pentacles reversed tho I usually read it as like... the potential is there but something might be blocking it? maybe theres a detail about the job you havent fully looked into yet
or it could be saying dont rush into it even tho 8 of wands wants you to go fast
omg same energy here. I pulled a clarifier once and spent the whole day spiraling about it
but honestly sometimes I think clarifiers are just showing us what were already worried about deep down? like your gut was already questioning something which is why you felt the need to pull another card
ugh clarifiers that make things worse are the worst lol. I pulled the moon as a clarifier last week and was like ok so now I have TWO confusing cards thanks
I've started asking more specific questions when pulling clarifiers like "what am I not seeing" instead of just "tell me more" - helps a bit?
update for anyone curious: I decided to wait on the opportunity and ask more questions before committing.
turns out there were some red flags I wasn't seeing - the "foundation" really wasn't as solid as they made it seem. ace of pentacles reversed was spot on honestly. sometimes you just need to sit with it for a while
ok mel your update just gave me chills because i had almost the exact same thing happen
pulled the 7 of pentacles for a freelance offer and was like ok cool patience and hard work. then i drew ace of pentacles reversed as clarifier and was like... wait what??
turns out the client had a history of not paying people on time lol. found out from a friend who used to work with them. the ace reversed was literally saying 'this opportunity isnt what it looks like on the surface'
clarifier cards are sneaky like that. they dont always clarify in the way you expect but looking back its always obvious
