been doing some shadow work journaling lately (highly recommend if you havent tried it, kind of intense tho lol)
nine of wands reversed has shown up like three separate times this month?? every time im journaling about setting boundaries or why i get so defensive when someone gives me feedback
like i KNOW im tired and guarded but seeing it in the cards over and over is hitting different than just thinking it in my head
anyone else had a card basically call them out like this during shadow work
omg yes the cards do NOT let you off the hook during shadow work lol. nine of wands reversed showed up for me around the same theme - i was so burnt out from always being "on guard" that i couldnt even let good things in anymore
this happened to me with the devil reversed lol. shadow work pulls hit different fr
wait this makes me want to start journaling with my readings instead of just noting the cards. did doing that change how you interpreted the reversal?
honestly yeah it changed everything for me. before i was just noting the reversal in my tracker like "9 wands rev - guarded" and moving on
but writing it out made me actually sit with WHY im so defensive instead of just labeling it. like i wrote a whole page about a specific comment that set me off and realized im still bracing for criticism from someone who hasnt even been in my life for years lol
still working through it but at least now i know what im actually protecting myself from
the shadow work call outs are so real lol. i had death reversed pop up like clockwork every time i was avoiding a decision i already knew i needed to make
started actually journaling about it instead of just ignoring the card and it helped me stop stalling so much. cards have a way of making you deal with stuff you'd rather not look at
