ok so I did a reading about whether to accept this job offer in another city. it's a big decision - I'd be leaving my whole support system behind and starting over basically from scratch
the spread was past/present/future and the nine of wands reversed landed in the future position. like... is that telling me I'm going to burn out before I even get started??
my gut says take the job, the opportunity is genuinely really good. but now I'm second-guessing everything because of this card
what does everyone think? does nine of wands reversed in future always mean things are going to fall apart or am I reading too much into it?
I wouldn't freak out!! future position cards are more like a heads up than a guarantee imo
I pulled the nine of wands reversed once before a big move and I think it was just telling me I needed to pace myself. which... yeah, I didn't, and I was exhausted for a while lol. but I got through it and it was worth it
Oh sweet one, don't let this card scare you away from something your gut is calling you toward.
The nine of wands reversed in a future position isn't a warning that things fall apart - it's whispering to you about how you'll need to show up. It often speaks to releasing the need to do everything alone, letting go of old defensive patterns, and asking for help before you hit your limit.
You're leaving your support system behind - the cards see that. This future energy might simply be reminding you to build community intentionally in the new city. Don't wait until you're running on empty. Trust your inner knowing that brought you to this decision.
sarah's interpretation is exactly what I needed to read too, saving this thread
I always forget that future position cards can be practical advice not just predictions
ok wow this actually makes so much sense. I think I was reading it as doom when really it's more like... a to-do list??
I already said yes to the job btw. decided last night. and I'm going to take the 'build community early' thing seriously - already looking at meetups and stuff in the new city. thank you all 💛
