anyone else feel like you and a taurus parent are just built different
she plans everything three steps ahead and needs routine to function. I decide things on the spot and get antsy if we're not already moving. we love each other so much but growing up it felt like we were speaking different languages constantly
what's helped a little as an adult: I stopped seeing her caution as her trying to control me, and she stopped seeing my impulsiveness as recklessness. we actually balance each other out now if I'm being honest
anyone else navigate this combo with a parent? curious what worked for you
omg the 'speaking different languages' thing is so accurate. my mom (taurus) still can't understand why I book flights the week before but she also never has to worry about money because of how careful she is lol. balance ig
my mom's the same!! taurus moms really said 'I will plan this to the last detail and you WILL enjoy it' lol. but the older I get the more I get why - it's just love expressed as preparation
yeah honestly writing this out helped me see it differently too. gonna try asking her WHY she wants to plan things next time instead of just getting annoyed about it
