ok so my mom is a leo and I'm a pisces and we love each other a lot but the day to day is exhausting sometimes
she wants big declarations and attention and I just want to quietly process things on my own before I talk about them. she takes my quietness as me being upset with her and then it turns into this whole thing
is this just a leo/pisces thing or are we both just being difficult lol. anyone else navigate this with a parent
yes!! my leo dad is the same way, needs everything to be A Moment. took me years to realize his need for attention isn't about doubting my love, it's just how he feels connected

Try giving her small, visible signs of affection even when you need to withdraw to process - a hug before you go quiet, a note that says you'll talk soon. It tells her you're not pulling away from her, just going inward for a moment.
the "different languages of love" thing actually made me tear up a little. gonna try the hug before I go quiet thing, that feels doable
