ok so I've been working with this gemini guy for like 8 months now and I genuinely cannot figure him out lol
I'm a capricorn so I'm all about structure, deadlines, getting things done. and he is... not. he'll have like 5 conversations happening at once, jump between projects, change his opinion on things mid-meeting, and somehow still deliver decent work??
the thing that gets me most is the communication style. I send a detailed email with bullet points and he replies with like one sentence and a meme. and then he wonders why I seem stressed all the time
but also I've noticed he's really good at the creative brainstorming stuff I hate doing, so maybe there's something here. anyone else navigating a gemini coworker or boss as a capricorn? how do you find the middle ground

I work with a capricorn and I know I drive her crazy the same way. the thing is - from our side, we literally don't experience the chaos you're seeing. in my head I'm tracking 5 things and they all connect, it just... doesn't look that way from the outside

what actually helped me and my capricorn coworker was she started sending me a literal agenda before meetings - like "here are the 3 things we need to decide today" - and I stay so much more on track. I still go off on tangents but at least we always circle back
sounds like you're already halfway there by noticing his brainstorming strengths. lean into that. make him the ideas person, you be the execution person, and suddenly it's not a clash, it's just... a really effective team
ok reading this whole thread as someone managing a gemini intern rn lol. the meme replies are so real. going to try the options framing thing too, feels like it could save me so much back and forth
quick update - tried the options framing this week and it's actually working?? he responded to my last email with actual paragraphs instead of a meme lol. still adjusting to his brainstorm-out-loud style in meetings but feels like we're finding a rhythm
