my mom is a capricorn through and through - super practical, doesn't love talking about feelings, wants a plan for everything. i'm a pisces and kind of the opposite, more go with the flow and emotional about stuff
we love each other but butt heads CONSTANTLY especially around big decisions. she thinks i overthink everything with my feelings and i think she's too rigid sometimes, even though i know that's not totally fair to say
anyone else navigate a capricorn parent as a more sensitive/dreamy sign? what actually helped you two understand each other better
my dad is the capricorn to my pisces lol. honestly what helped was realizing his practical questions weren't him dismissing my feelings, it was just how he showed he cared. once i started explaining WHY i felt a certain way instead of just the feeling itself, he actually engaged a lot more
wait does this get better as you get older? asking for myself lol, my capricorn mom and i still go in circles about this exact thing
update: tried explaining the reasoning behind my feelings instead of just venting them to her and it actually landed so much better. still a work in progress but this thread gave me a lot to think about, thank you
