ok I know everyone says two leos together is a disaster waiting to happen but I'm here to say... it doesn't have to be lol
my partner and I are both leos (same month even) and we've been together for almost 3 years. people literally told us not to do it. 'too much ego', 'you'll fight over attention all the time', blah blah
but honestly? here's what I think actually makes it work:
we GET each other's need to be seen. like there's no jealousy when the other person is having their moment because we understand it on a deep level. when he's the center of attention at a party I'm genuinely proud, not threatened. and vice versa
also we're both really loyal. like fiercely loyal. that part of leo that people underestimate - we show up for each other harder than any couple I know
the secret for us has been having separate creative outlets. he's in a band, I do improv theater. we cheer each other on but we're not competing for the same spotlight
the fights can be... intense when they happen lol. two fixed signs who both think they're right is A LOT. but we've gotten better at knowing when to let something go vs when to actually work through it
anyone else in a leo + leo pairing? would love to hear your experience
omg I needed this post so much. I've been hesitant about pursuing a leo guy because everyone keeps warning me off. this gives me hope!!
This is a great example of how sun sign compatibility is just one piece of the puzzle.
Leo + Leo can absolutely thrive, and what you've described hits on exactly why: you're both fixed fire, which means you share values around loyalty, passion, and showing up fully. The 'ego clash' everyone warns about usually comes down to whether each person has developed their own sense of self outside the relationship.
Two secure Leos don't need to compete - they celebrate together. What you've described about separate creative outlets is genuinely solid advice. Fixed signs do well when they each have a domain they feel ownership over.
The key tension to watch long-term: both of you want to lead. Not always a problem, but in decision-making moments it can create gridlock. Couples who figure out who leads in which areas (one handles logistics, one handles social planning, etc.) tend to do better than trying to decide everything together.
the part about being proud instead of threatened really hits. I feel like that's the whole thing right there
yes!! @MarcusAstro that's such a good point about the decision making thing. we literally figured out without realizing it that I handle all the travel planning and he handles anything involving our friend group logistics lol. division of 'kingdoms' I guess
