ok so I've seen SO many posts saying leo and aquarius are doomed bc we're opposites and honestly I was worried when I started dating my aquarius bf

but we just hit 2 years and things are genuinely great so I wanted to share what actually works

the biggest thing for me was realizing that his "detachment" isn't coldness - he just processes emotions differently. like he'll think about something for days before bringing it up, while I'm ready to talk about everything immediately lol

once I stopped interpreting his quiet as rejection, everything changed

also the opposites thing is real but in a good way?? he balances out my drama (I'm very dramatic, I own it) and I pull him out of his head when he gets too stuck in ideas with no action

we've had to learn each other's love languages hard. I need verbal appreciation and he needs intellectual respect - like he wants me to take his ideas seriously. when I started actually engaging with his weird theories instead of just smiling and nodding, he opened up so much more
