my best friend is a virgo and I'm a leo and honestly we love each other so much but our friendship style is SO different
i show love by like, hyping her up in front of everyone, planning big get-togethers, being loud about how much she means to me
she shows love by remembering my coffee order, texting me a article she thinks id like, quietly fixing something in my life without making a big deal of it
neither is wrong but ive definitely had moments where i felt like she doesnt care as much just bc she isnt as vocal about it
anyone else navigate this leo/virgo thing? how do you make sure you're both feeling appreciated
yes!! i'm the virgo in a leo friendship and it's so mutual lol. she thinks im not excited about things bc im not screaming about them but im just showing it differently
This is a classic fire-earth dynamic and it shows up in friendships as much as romantic pairings.
Leo expresses love expansively and publicly - it's ruled by the sun, so warmth radiating outward is the whole point. Virgo, ruled by Mercury, expresses care through service and attention to detail. Neither is more "real" than the other, they're just different love languages rooted in different elements.
The fix isn't getting your Virgo friend to be louder or you to be quieter. It's learning to actually notice her language - the small thoughtful gestures - as the equivalent of your big ones. And telling her directly what makes you feel appreciated, since Virgo often assumes actions speak for themselves.
marcus the "assumes actions speak for themselves" thing is SO her. I started actually telling her when her little gestures land and she said she never realized I needed the verbal part too
not even a leo or virgo but this thread made me think about how differently my friends show up for me. gonna pay more attention to the quiet ones honestly
