my best friend is a virgo and I'm a leo and we've been close for like 3 years now but the first few months of us hanging out were kind of rocky ngl
like I'd get excited and want to plan some big spontaneous thing and she'd want to think it through first, budget it, make a list lol. felt like she was raining on my parade sometimes early on
but now it's like... she keeps me from doing something dumb and I get her to actually relax and have fun. anyone else have a leo/virgo friendship that started a little bumpy but ended up being solid?
omg yes. my leo bestie used to plan things so last minute and it stressed me out (virgo here) but now I actually look forward to her spontaneous ideas, they get me out of my head
This is such a common pattern for Leo-Virgo friendships and it makes sense once you look at the placements. Leo is fixed fire, ruled by the Sun - big energy, wants to be seen, moves on instinct. Virgo is mutable earth, ruled by Mercury - detail-oriented, cautious, needs a plan before committing.
Early friction usually comes from Leo reading Virgo's caution as negativity, and Virgo reading Leo's spontaneity as recklessness. Once trust builds though, it becomes genuinely complementary - Virgo grounds the big ideas, Leo pulls Virgo out of overthinking.
The friendships that last are usually the ones where both people stop trying to change the other's pace and start seeing it as a resource.
"stop trying to change the other's pace and start seeing it as a resource" is honestly perfect. that's exactly what shifted for us, I stopped seeing her caution as her being a buzzkill and started asking her opinion before I even had a full plan
