ok so I did a 3-card reading about a work situation I've been stressing over and the king of swords came out reversed in the outcome position
I pulled past / present / future and the last card was this guy... face down
from what I understand king of swords is about clear thinking and authority and logic. but reversed? in the outcome spot specifically?
like is this saying I'm going to make a bad decision? or that someone is going to be manipulative toward me? or both lol
I'm really torn on how to read this particular placement. would love some thoughts
ooh I got this card reversed in an outcome position once and was also confused
for me I ended up interpreting it as a reminder to think before I acted instead of rushing in. like slow down and don't let emotions drive the decision
didn't mean disaster, just a heads up
The cards whisper so much wisdom here!
King of Swords reversed in the outcome position usually points to a few things - and the good news is it's rarely as scary as it looks at first. It can mean you or someone around you might be letting bias cloud clear judgment. It might also be flagging a tendency to overthink or get stuck in your head rather than acting.
In an outcome position specifically, I'd read it as: 'the result depends on whether you can cut through the noise and think clearly.' It's a warning, but also an invitation.
Ask yourself: am I making this decision from a grounded, clear place? Or am I letting anxiety or outside pressure run the show? Trust your inner knowing - it'll cut straighter than any sword.
this is so helpful to read because I've been avoiding king of swords reversed for months lol
I always assumed it meant someone cold and calculating coming into my life but sounds like it can also be about my OWN thinking patterns?
thank you everyone!! Sarah K that breakdown really helped me see it differently
I think it IS about my own headspace honestly. I've been obsessing over every angle of this situation instead of just... deciding
going to sit with this one and try to quiet the mental noise before I do anything
