ok so I have to decide by friday whether to accept this new job offer and I did a quick one-card pull asking "what should I know about this opportunity" and got the king of pentacles reversed
the new job pays more but it's at a company that honestly feels a little chaotic? like the interview process itself was kind of disorganized. my current job is stable but I've been feeling stuck forever
the king reversed is making me nervous. is it saying the new place is badly managed, or is it warning me about my own mindset going in, or...??
I'm probably overthinking this lol but would love to hear what you all think
ugh the king of pentacles reversed in that position would make me nervous too honestly. especially with what you said about the disorganized interview process - sometimes the cards just confirm what you already sense
The cards whisper so much wisdom here, and I love that you're listening.
King of Pentacles reversed in this context often speaks to mismanagement or instability in external structures - not necessarily YOU, but the environment you're stepping into. Your gut feeling about the chaotic interview process is important data.
But here's what I'd sit with: is the "stuck" feeling at your current job something this new opportunity actually solves, or are you hoping it will? Sometimes we reach for change when what we really need is a different kind of growth where we already are.
Trust your inner knowing on this one. The card is a prompt to look deeper, not necessarily a hard no.
I pulled king of pentacles reversed when I was deciding on a freelance contract last year. ended up taking it anyway because the money was good and honestly it was fine but the client WAS kind of difficult to deal with lol. not a disaster but definitely confirmed he was high maintenance
so like... not always a dealbreaker, just something to go in with eyes open
this is all really helpful, thank you!! I think Sarah K is right that I need to ask myself what I'm actually solving by moving. I made a pros/cons list and also scheduled a call with the hiring manager to ask some pointed questions about how the team is structured. feels like the right move before I commit either way
