ok so I've been seeing 888 constantly over the past few weeks and it's specifically happening around anything job-related??
like I'll get an email about a job opportunity and the timestamp is 8:88 (ok 9:28 lol but 8 is everywhere), or I'll check my bank account and the balance ends in 888, or the salary number in a job listing will have 888 in it
I left my corporate job 3 months ago to pursue freelance work and honestly it's been terrifying. not bad just... scary. and now 888 keeps following me around
from what I've read 888 is supposed to be about abundance and financial flow?? but does that mean it's telling me I'm on the right path or warning me about something
anyone experienced 888 specifically during a career/money shift like this?
omg yes!! I saw 888 nonstop right before I got my first big freelance client. like it was literally everywhere. looking back I think it was confirmation energy
From a symbolic perspective, 888 carries strong numerological significance as a tripling of 8 - which historically across many traditions represents cycles, infinity, and material balance.
What's interesting about your experience is the context. Seeing it during a major life transition, particularly one involving financial uncertainty, fits with 888's traditional association with incoming abundance that requires an active receiver.
The symbolism isn't passive - it's often interpreted as 'the flow is there, but you have to position yourself to receive it.' Your freelance pivot might be exactly that positioning.
this is so reassuring to read honestly. I'm about to quit my job and go freelance and I've been terrified. maybe I need to start paying attention to signs like this more
update: landed two new clients this week!! not saying 888 made it happen but... the timing is wild lol. I'm definitely leaning into the 'positioning yourself to receive' idea. feels right
