ok so I did a full celtic cross spread yesterday about whether to go back to school and judgement reversed landed in the outcome position
I've been staring at it for like two days now lol. from what I've read online it can mean self-doubt, fear of change, avoiding a reckoning... but I genuinely can't tell if that's warning me against the decision or telling me the version of me that DOESN'T go back to school is the one avoiding change
both interpretations feel equally valid and I'm spiraling a bit
does anyone have experience with judgement reversed in a celtic cross? specifically what helped you figure out if it was speaking to the outcome or reflecting back something internal?
ugh the outcome position is the worst when it's ambiguous!! I had the same issue last year
what did the crossing card say? sometimes that unlocks the whole thing
The cards whisper so much wisdom here - Judgement reversed in the outcome is actually quite specific once you know how to listen to it.
In a celtic cross it often means the outcome isn't fixed yet - Judgement upright says a clear call has been made, reversed says you're still in the middle of the process. The 'reckoning' hasn't happened yet.
So it's less 'this will go badly' and more 'you still have inner work to do before you're ready to answer this question fully'. What does the card in the hopes/fears position say? That one usually holds the key when I see this.
wait this is so helpful, I never thought about reversed cards in the outcome position as 'still in process' rather than a negative outcome. saving this thread
ok update!! I went back and looked at the hopes/fears position like Sarah K suggested and it was the 8 of cups which... yeah. that's literally about walking away from something that isn't working anymore
I think the whole spread was telling me my fear is staying stuck more than the fear of change. sitting with that now. thank you all so much
