ok so I know this sounds cheesy but bear with me lol
I'm an aries sun and you know how we can be... impulsive, impatient, kinda selfish sometimes (we're working on it ok??). started dating an aquarius about 2 years ago and honestly I'm a different person now
he's so... detached? like in a good way. when I'm ready to blow up about something he just kinda steps back and asks "but have you thought about it from their perspective?" and at first it drove me CRAZY but now I actually pause before reacting
also he got me into volunteering which is so aquarius of him lmao. made me realize the world isn't just about my goals and my timeline
anyway just wanted to share bc aries+aquarius gets a weird rep sometimes. any other aries out there who've grown from dating air signs?
this is so sweet and honestly relatable. my aquarius ex taught me SO much about not taking everything personally

omg yes the "have you thought about their perspective" thing!! my aqua best friend does this too and it used to annoy me but now I actually hear it in my head before I react to stuff
that air sign logic really does balance out fire sign impulsiveness

she's taught me to be more spontaneous and actually DO things instead of just thinking about them forever so I guess it goes both ways

my aqua best friend does the same thing with the "have you considered..." questions and honestly it used to annoy me so much lol. but now I catch myself doing it to other people??
the detachment thing is real. like they're not cold, they just don't get swept up in the drama and it's kinda grounding when you're an aries who wants to fight everyone

ok this is literally my situation but reversed lol. im an aquarius dating an aries guy and honestly he's pushed me to be more in the moment instead of living in my head 24/7
like i used to overthink every little thing and he'd just be like... why dont we just DO the thing?? and at first it drove me crazy but now i realize i was using "thinking about it" as an excuse to never actually try stuff
fire and air signs really do balance each other out when both people are willing to grow. love this thread
