okay so i pulled the moon reversed the other day and just sat there staring at it like... okay but what do i DO with this
i get upright moon - illusion, intuition, that foggy dont-trust-what-you-see feeling. but reversed feels like it could mean like three different things depending who you ask. some say its clarity finally breaking through the fog. others say its deeper confusion or like repressed anxiety coming up
how do you personally tell the difference between "the fog is lifting" reversed and "the fog got worse" reversed lol. is it just context from the other cards or is there an actual rule of thumb
Oh I love this question, the Moon reversed is one of the trickiest to sit with.
For me it comes down to how the fog FEELS in the reading, not just what surrounds it. If you feel relief when you look at the card, even a little, that's clarity breaking through. If you feel a tightness or dread, that's the fog thickening - old fears resurfacing that you haven't looked at yet.
Trust your inner knowing on this one. Your gut reaction to the card is often more accurate than any list of meanings.
honestly this is why i hate reversals sometimes lol. every book gives you a different vibe for the same card
the context thing is real for me too. moon reversed next to like the star or the sun feels totally different than moon reversed next to the tower
this is really helpful actually, especially the point about how the card FEELS instead of just memorizing the flipped meaning. gonna pay more attention to that gut reaction next time
