pulled the eight of swords reversed today after weeks of getting it upright in like every reading
upright always felt like: stuck, trapped, can't see the way out. but reversed feels different?? like the restriction is still there but there's some kind of release happening
is it as simple as "upright = trapped, reversed = freed" or is there more nuance to it. curious how other people read the shift
reversed for me is more like... you're starting to SEE the way out even if you haven't taken it yet. the blindfold is loosening but you're still standing in the same spot
omg this is such a good question. i always thought reversed just meant "less bad" but the way you put it (release happening) makes more sense
yeah the "seeing the way out" thing really clicked for me after journaling about it. feels like less of a trap and more of a choice now
the "seeing the way out even if you haven't taken it yet" line is such a good way to put it. had the exact same shift happen for me last month, upright for weeks then reversed right when I finally started making a plan to leave a bad situation
glad this is still helping people find it lol. quick update: I did end up making the choice I'd been circling and things are so much lighter now. the card was right about the release part
