pulled the seven of cups reversed in a reading about a decision i've been putting off and then looked it up and got like three totally different meanings lol
some sources say reversed means you're finally getting clarity and cutting through the illusions. others say it means you're doubling down on avoidance and making a bad choice out of fear. those feel like opposite things??
how do you personally tell which one it is when it shows up for you
Oh this is such a good question, and I get asked it a lot! The Seven of Cups reversed really does swing both ways - the trick is looking at the cards around it and your own gut reaction when you saw it.
If you felt a little jolt of relief or 'oh, right' when you saw it, that's usually the clarity reading - the fog is lifting. If you felt a twinge of guilt or that sinking 'I know what I should do but...' feeling, that's usually the avoidance reading.
Trust your inner knowing here. The card is a mirror, not a verdict.
omg this happened to me with a different card recently, the amount of contradictory info out there for reversed meanings is wild. following this thread bc i need this answer too
@Sarah K that actually makes so much sense, thank you. thinking back i definitely had that guilty sinking feeling not the relief one lol. guess i already know what i need to do
