dating a sagittarius for about 5 months now and communication is... an adventure
I'm a taurus so I like to think things through before I say them. she just says whatever pops into her head in the moment, no filter, no warning
it's not that she's mean about it, she's actually really sweet, it's just SO different from how I operate. I need time to process and she wants to hash it out right away
how do you bridge that gap without one person feeling steamrolled and the other feeling shut out
omg the pacing thing is so real. my sag partner used to think my silence meant I was mad, I just needed time to think lol. we finally agreed on a code word for 'give me an hour and then we'll talk' and it changed everything
as a fellow taurus with a sag best friend, honestly the trick for me was learning that her blunt in-the-moment thing isn't a lack of care, it's just how she processes out loud. once I stopped taking the bluntness personally it got so much easier
the code word idea is genius, stealing that immediately lol. and yeah I think I've been reading her directness as steamrolling when it's really just... enthusiasm? gonna try to sit with that reframe
