my partner is a cancer and I'm an aquarius and communication feels like we're speaking two different languages sometimes
I process stuff by talking it out logically and kind of detached, they need warmth and reassurance first before we can even get into the actual topic. ive learned the hard way that jumping straight into problem solving mode makes things worse lol
anyone else navigate this? what actually works for you two
as the cancer in this dynamic... yes please lead with the warmth first lol. it doesnt have to be a whole thing, even just a soft opener before the logic talk makes such a difference
this is so relatable, my cancer partner needs to feel heard before anything gets 'solved'. took me way too long to learn that
update: tried leading with a soft check-in before getting into logistics last night and it actually went so much smoother. feels small but its helping
