ok so i keep seeing the moon pop up in my readings and when it's upright i sort of get it - illusions, intuition, the fog before clarity kind of vibe
but reversed?? last week i pulled it reversed in a 3 card spread about a decision i'm making and i genuinely could not tell if it meant "the fog is finally clearing" or "you're about to confuse yourself even more" lol
like is reversed always the good version of upright (clarity finally coming) or can it also mean deeper confusion/denial? i've read like 4 different takes online and now i'm more lost than before the reading tbh
following this bc i have the EXACT same confusion lol. every site says something different for moon reversed and none of them agree
The Moon reversed is one of those cards that really depends on what's happening around it in the spread - the cards whisper differently depending on context.
Most often, reversed does lean toward the fog lifting - deception or self-deception starting to surface, intuition becoming clearer instead of murkier. But it CAN also point to denial if you're actively avoiding what your gut already knows.
Ask yourself honestly: when you saw that card, did something in you already sense the answer before your mind caught up? That's usually the tell. Trust your inner knowing here - it's rarely as confusing as the internet makes it sound.
omg the "fog lifting vs denial" distinction sarah k made is so helpful. i always just assumed reversed = worse version of upright but that's clearly not always true
the way i've always thought of it: upright moon = still IN the fog, reversed = fog starting to lift OR you actively pushing it back down. context is everything with this one for real
