ok so I get that justice upright is like... fairness, cause and effect, truth coming out. and reversed is supposedly the opposite - unfairness, dishonesty, imbalance.
but every time I pull it reversed it doesn't feel like a totally different card, more like a messier version of the same one?? like the truth is still there it's just harder to see or being avoided
am I overcomplicating this. do you all read reversed justice as a flat opposite or more like a distorted version of the upright meaning
You're not overcomplicating it at all, sweet one - the cards whisper nuance, not opposites.
I rarely read reversals as a flat 180. Justice reversed is usually still ABOUT fairness and truth, it's just that something is out of alignment - a decision being delayed, a truth being avoided, or you (or someone else) not taking full accountability yet.
Trust your inner knowing here. Ask: what truth am I avoiding looking at directly?
this is such a good way to put it, "distorted version not opposite". gonna start thinking about all my reversals this way tbh
wait yeah I always struggled with reversals feeling too binary. this thread just fixed my whole approach lol
