ok so I've been seeing this libra guy for a few months and on paper we should be PERFECT right?? both air signs, both love talking, both social butterflies
but when it comes to actual serious conversations... it's like we're speaking different languages??
I want to hash things out in the moment. like let's talk about it now, process it, move on. but he needs to think about it first, then circle back days later when I've already mentally moved on??
honestly it makes me feel like he doesn't care or isn't taking things seriously. but my friend who's into astrology says that's just a libra thing - they need time to weigh everything before responding.
anyone else dealt with this? how do you meet in the middle when you're both air signs but communicate SO differently?
omg yes this is SO real. I'm a gemini too and dated a libra for two years and the communication thing was the biggest thing we had to figure out
what helped us was basically me giving him a heads up like "hey I want to talk about X later" instead of jumping in. gave him time to think first and then he'd actually have a real conversation instead of going blank
This is such a classic Gemini-Libra dynamic and you're not imagining it.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury - the planet of immediate communication, quick thinking, on-the-spot processing. When Gemini has a feeling, they need to verbalize it to understand it.

turns out she cares SO much she doesn't want to say the wrong thing. once I understood that I stopped taking the silence personally
ok the mercury vs venus thing actually makes so much sense?? I never thought about it that way
I'm gonna try giving him a heads up before important convos and see if that helps. honestly I think I've been reading his need to think as disinterest when it might just be how he shows he actually takes things seriously
