asked my deck if i should take this new job offer and got the hierophant reversed and now i dont know what to think lol
like upright its all tradition, following the established path, mentorship. reversed... is it telling me the safe conventional choice is wrong for me? or that i should question the company's culture before committing?
the job itself is more corporate/structured than what im used to which is maybe why this card is showing up. anyone read this in a career context before
The cards whisper something practical here, not ominous...
Hierophant reversed in a career question often isn't a hard no. It's asking you to question institutions rather than blindly follow them. Are you drawn to this job because it's genuinely right for you, or because it looks like the responsible path?
It can also point to a mismatch between your personal values and a rigid structure. Doesn't mean don't take it - means go in with eyes open and don't outsource your judgment to what looks conventional or safe.
ooh this is making me rethink a job offer i got too. the 'question institutions not blindly follow them' line is sticking with me
update: took sarah's advice and actually asked more pointed questions in my final interview about culture and flexibility. turns out there's more room to do things my way than i assumed from the outside. accepted the offer feeling a lot more grounded about it
