okay so I've been doing a lot of shadow work lately and every single time I pull for it I get the hermit reversed??
like I get regular hermit sometimes in normal readings and that always felt more introspective/positive to me. but reversed specifically shows up when I'm doing the deep shadow stuff and it kind of freaks me out a little
is this just... confirming that I'm isolating too much instead of actually doing the work? or is there something else going on. anyone else get a card that basically stalks their shadow work sessions
the cards whisper something important here. hermit reversed showing up specifically during shadow work often points to isolation that's tipped into avoidance rather than genuine reflection - like you're going inward but maybe not letting anyone (including yourself) actually witness what you find.
next time it shows up, try journaling and then sharing even just one line of what you wrote with a trusted friend. the shadow work loses some of its weight when it's not carried completely alone.
trust your inner knowing on this one - the card isn't punishing you, it's asking you to open the door a crack.
omg the isolation vs avoidance thing hits different. I do shadow work totally alone and never talk about what comes up. gonna sit with this
following this, I get hermit reversed a LOT too and always just assumed it meant im being too antisocial lol. good to have another angle on it
update: journaled about it and actually texted my sister about what came up instead of keeping it to myself like usual. felt way lighter after. think this card was onto something
