been with my aquarius partner for about two years now (im a cancer) and honestly the connection is strong but MAN do we clash on emotional stuff
i want to talk through feelings the second something's off. they want space to process alone first and it used to feel like rejection until we actually talked about it
curious what the hardest part has been for other cancer + aquarius pairs, romantic or otherwise. feels like such a specific mix of water and air lol
the space vs closeness thing is SO real. my aquarius ex needed to disappear into his own head for like a day before he could even talk about what was bothering him and it took me forever to stop taking it personally
honestly figuring out that space doesn't mean distance was the biggest shift for us too. once i trusted he'd come back to the conversation it got so much easier
following this, im an aquarius dating a cancer and it's basically the reverse experience lol. she wants to process together in real time and i need to think first, we're both learning to meet in the middle
update: showed my partner this thread lol, he said the space thing finally makes more sense hearing other aquarius people describe it the same way
