so I pulled a card last night just to calm my nerves before a big interview and got the hanged man reversed.
from what i read upright is about pausing and surrendering to the process, but reversed apparently means like... resisting a necessary pause, or making a decision out of impatience instead of clarity?
that freaked me out a little bc i've been SO impatient about this job search. like i just want an offer already, any offer, so i can stop stressing.
did the interview this morning and honestly i think i talked myself into being over-eager about a role that maybe isn't even right for me. anyone else pull a card and then kind of see themselves too clearly lol
oof yeah reversed hanged man is such a callout card. it's basically the universe going "stop rushing" lol
i got this exact card before accepting a job i ended up hating. in hindsight i was so impatient to just be DONE job hunting that i ignored a bunch of red flags in the interview
wait did the interview go ok tho?? also kind of love that you pulled a card right before, that's such a good habit honestly
update: interview went fine but i left feeling weirdly unenthusiastic lol. gonna sit with that instead of just hoping for an offer. definitely taking the impatience thing seriously though, feels very accurate
wait this is exactly what happened to me last year lol. pulled a card before the WORST decision of my job search (accepting an offer i knew deep down wasn't right) and reversed hanged man was written all over it in hindsight. glad you're actually sitting with the discomfort instead of rushing
small update - ended up passing on that offer. it felt scary to slow down instead of just taking whatever came first but i think it was the right call. taking my job search a little less frantically now honestly feels better
