ok so I did my first ever celtic cross spread about a big life decision I've been putting off for months
everything in the spread made sense except the outcome position: The Star reversed
I've read it can mean loss of hope, lack of faith, or feeling disconnected from your path. but the rest of my spread was actually pretty hopeful??
like does the outcome card override everything else or is it more like one piece of the picture? I don't want to psych myself out over this but I also don't want to just ignore it
omg I had this exact situation last month and was freaking out too
from what I've learned, the outcome card shows where things are headed IF nothing changes. it's not set in stone - it's more like 'this is the current trajectory' rather than a fixed future
reversed cards in outcome positions get misread so much!!
The Star reversed as an outcome has always pointed to needing to reconnect with hope rather than losing it. like the universe saying 'check in with your faith right now' rather than 'hope is gone forever'
also the rest of the spread context matters A LOT. if everything else is positive, one reversed card in outcome usually means 'watch out for self-doubt' not 'disaster incoming'
the whole celtic cross needs to be read as a story, not card by card
if the rest of your spread is hopeful then the reversed star in outcome is probably a gentle nudge rather than a warning. maybe 'don't let doubt creep in at the last moment' rather than 'this will go badly'
what did the crossing card and the advice card say?
update: I made the decision and it's going really well so far!
the outcome card ended up being accurate - I had a moment of serious self-doubt right before committing but pushed through it. so I think it was pointing at that moment, not the overall result
still learning how to read these spreads but this really helped me trust myself more. thank you all!!
