so I did a 3-card reading about whether I should apply for this new job opportunity and the hanged man reversed came up in the outcome position
like... I've seen it upright before and understood that as waiting, surrendering, pausing. but reversed in the OUTCOME spot?? I have no idea how to take that
does it mean the waiting period is over and I should just go for it? or is it warning me that forcing action here will backfire? I honestly can't tell if this is a green light or a red flag lol
any help appreciated, this one has my brain spinning
oof the outcome position is always the one that messes me up the most!! I feel this
I think reversed in outcome usually means something is about to SHIFT - like the suspended state is ending whether you're ready or not
The cards whisper something really hopeful here, actually!
The Hanged Man reversed in the outcome position is often about liberation from stagnation. The upright card asks you to pause and reflect - but reversed as an outcome? It suggests that period of waiting and uncertainty is coming to an end.
For a job reading specifically, I'd read this as: the limbo is lifting. Whatever has been keeping you stuck or hesitant is loosening its grip. Trust your inner knowing here - your gut has probably already been nudging you toward this opportunity for a reason.
The caution I'd hold is to make sure you've genuinely processed any fears about the change, not just bypassed them. But the energy feels like forward movement to me.
this is such a good question actually. I feel like reversed cards in outcome positions always take me forever to figure out
what were the other two cards in your spread? that context might help a lot
oh wow Sarah K thank you!! that framing of "liberation from stagnation" actually makes so much sense for where I'm at
the other two cards were the 8 of pentacles in the situation spot and the 6 of swords as the action card - so yeah it really does feel like there's a whole "do the work, move forward, then release the stuckness" story happening
I applied this morning lol. fingers crossed!!
